My specialty is online simulators
for teaching, scientific research, and games.

I'm a contract Web graphics programmer, with 25 years' experience, largely in scientific applications for companies such as Texas Instruments and Yale University. I've been developing for the Internet since 1994. I work in Flash and Flex ActionScript 2/3, Java applets, PHP/MySQL, and Drupal. My specialty is Rich Internet Applications for teaching, scientific research, games, and community-building.

My CourseWare simulators include preset scenarios as a jumping-off place, to let the user explore and build intuitive understanding, to "make the math an experience". I developed the CourseWare Java Toolkit at Yale University and on my own time, to build simulators for teaching environmental sciences. With this technology I can quickly construct full custom math-based simulators and games. CourseWare simulators are used worldwide in university teaching and research.

In recent years, I've also been using Flash, Flex, PHP, MySQL, and Drupal, for simulators, games, online communities, eCommerce product configurators, and other interactive presentations.
