FlexSimpleStats tracks semantic usage statistics within my simulators - what users actually do with them. The server side of SimpleStats is implemented in PHP and MySQL, with Java, Flash, or Flex CourseWare on the client side. This tool browses and charts CourseWare historical usage data, beginning in January, 2004. This latest incarnation of the statistics data browser/plotter is implemented in Flex 3 (Flash Player 9).

Retirement Calculator explores the savings and retirement phases of mutual fund retirement IRAs. Inflation and IRS rules on required minimum distributions (RMD) are taken into account. Proof of concept for scenarios, parameter driven simulation, and interactive plots in Flash.

Mortgage / Loan / Mutual Fund Calculator was written to figure out how much to spend on a condo before the opportunity cost of downpayment and closing costs taken out of an IRA, outweighed any savings/equity. Loans and IRA return calculations are related, but simpler. Java 1.2.
